Spider-Man: Brand New Day

2026· 2h 25m

Big-screen superhero action with teeth

Tom Holland is back as Spider-Man, playing in English in Basel, and this one leans hard into momentum: a city under threat, an enemy no one can even see, and a hero pushed past his limits. Destin Daniel Cretton keeps the science fiction action and adventure moving, and the scale demands a big screen. It sits at 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.0 on IMDb.

Heart of the Beast

Lean survival thriller, man and dog against Alaska

David Ayer strips this adventure thriller down to the essentials: Special Forces officer James Belmont and his combat dog Odin crawl out of a plane crash into the Alaskan wilderness and fight the elements to stay alive. Brad Pitt and J.K. Simmons sell the brutality, and the landscape hits hardest on a big screen. It lands at 85% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.5 on IMDb.
