Spider-Man: Brand New Day

2026· 2h 25m

Big-screen superhero action with real teeth

This is the kinetic sci-fi action spectacle to see in English on a Basel screen right now. Tom Holland's Spider-Man fights crime full-time in a world that has forgotten him, and the pressure cracks something open just as an unseen villain menaces the city. With Zendaya, Sadie Sink and a hard-edged Jon Bernthal under Destin Daniel Cretton, it sits at 8.1 on IMDb and 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, and the scale earns the big screen.

Playing in English, this is lean, kinetic horror sci-fi for action fans who like their chaos relentless. Medical courier Bryan gets swept into a single horrifying night that collapses into a fight for his life, and director Zach Cregger keeps the screws turning. At 95 minutes with Austin Abrams, Kali Reis and Paul Walter Hauser, it never slows down.
